ALTERNATIVE SPAIN WINE TASTING DINNER AT THE HIGH FIELD

I have been wanting to work in collaboration with The High Field for ages, and after a few discussions I decided that we should focus on Spanish wines that (wrongly) don’t get enough recognition in the UK. Therefore, no Rioja, or Albarino from Rias Baixas. Think more Terra Alta, Yecla, Navarra, Rueda. These areas produce in my opinion some of the most interesting wines in Spain, yet outside Spain they are not as widely recognised except amongst wine geeks like myself, or people who go on holiday there.
This tasting dinner is going to pair wine with 5 courses, plus extra drinks reception and canapes. You will be guided through the wine and food pairings by myself (Phil Innes from Loki Wine) and Head Chef at the High Field Jon Westwood, where you will get a unique insight in to how restaurants create food and wine pairing menus, some cooking tips from chef, and also some wine knowledge about lesser known regions to explore in Spain, maybe in time for your next holiday…?
When: Friday June 14th, 2019 at 7pm for drinks, 7:30 for dinner.
Where: The High Field Studio, Edgbaston
Price: £60 including 5 course tapas menu, with wines matched, and welcome drink with canapes.
