Antinori is one of the global icons of wine and now owns famous wineries all over the world. However, for this tasting, we are going to go back to Antinori’s routes in Tuscany and focus on their two famous Tuscan reds, Tignanello and Guado Al Tasso. During this tasting, you will get the opportunity to try two vintages of both wines so you can compare how the wines age over time. We will also be focusing on Cervaro Della Sala, regarded as the top Italian white wine, again trying two vintages of this wine.
The tasting will start off with a glass of Antinori’s super-premium Franciacorta (Italy’s answer to high-end Champagne), followed by a five-course dinner paired with wines from four different Antinori Estates (5 wines) from the North of Italy.
This tasting will be hosted by Emanuele Barrasso from Antinori, who will take you through the fabulous history of the estate, and of course take you on a journey of exploration through a flight of some of Italy’s finest wines.

About Antinori
The Antinori family has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries and is the 10th oldest company in the world. However, it is over the last 40 years that Antinori has shot to global fame, and they are now one of the most highly regarded wines in the world. Tignanello propelled them to the attention of global wine lovers and collectors. It first appeared in 1971 and caused a sensation by its use of Cabernet Sauvignon in a Sangiovese blend and with its practice of ageing in small French barriques. Antinori was accused of vinous treachery and treason but soon barrique-aged blends of Sangiovese and Cabernet began appearing all across Tuscany. antinori then revolutionised Tuscany again by being one of the founders of Bolgheri DOC, now regarded as the most prestigious area for production in Tuscany. During this tasting we will be focusing on both estates.
