INTRODUCTION TO GEORGIAN WINE TASTING
September 24 @ 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm£5.00
Georgia is one of the oldest wine growing regions in the world, if not the oldest. They were producing wine a long time before the French and Italians. There has been an increasing interest in these wines, but there is still a lack of understanding regarding the incredible depth and variety of wines from this country.
They produce a wide variety of wines; from a modern style using international varieties, through to very traditional amphora aged Orange wines, which are unusual, but if done well can be some of the most interesting wines around.
In this tasting your ticket will permit you to come in at any time between 3:30 & 6:30pm and try a selection of these wines at your leisure. This will be followed by an hour tutored tasting at 6:30pm where you will be talked through the different wines and be given an introduction to these fascinating wines.
This tasting is an absolute bargain at only £5 a ticket as it is supported by Georgian vineyards, so is a great chance to explore these wines at a ridiculously low price.
