Portuguese discovery tasting

Portugal is by far the most exciting up-and-coming wine country in Europe if not the world at the moment. Portugal is forever associated with the Port trade, however what people are beginning to realise is that their non-port wines are by far the most exciting wines available, and the long history of making Port wines means that there is a ready made infrastructure for making these wines to a really high standard.

During this tasting we will be exploring 8 different white, red and rose wines under the guidance of Mary Wright, from one of the most respected Portuguese wine producers Sogrape, we will look into their estates from Vinho Verde, Douro, Lisboa, Dão and Alentejo, so we will be covering all the major wine regions of Portugal.
