Primitivo is becoming very fashionable and this is THE example of the grape variety(this has been used on Master of Wine tastings). Very big, bold and rich. Full of baked plums and blackberries with hints of raisin and sweet spice. The tannins are very soft and the finish is very long. This top-end Primitivo bursts with baked Morello cherry notes and has a richly textured, full-bodied palate. Primitivo does not get much better than this.
