Bobby’s Gin is a unique gin that combines Dutch gin traditions with Indonesian spices to create a harmonious and balanced flavour profile. This delicious Gin is produced from 8 separately distilled botanicals with no additives, sugars or extractions. This gin is always very popular at our regular Gin tastings.

In terms of aroma, this gin presents an aromatic and lively citrus fragrance infused with the delightful scent of lemongrass. It also carries herbal undertones reminiscent of classic gin botanicals like coriander and juniper. The aroma evolves further with floral hints and the subtle essence of orange blossom, eventually transitioning into a refreshing menthol breeze enriched with delicate pepper and spice notes.

The taste experience begins with a burst of invigorating citrus freshness, followed by the vibrant presence of juniper. The flavour profile is then enriched by a herbaceous blend of Indonesian spices infused with the traditional gin botanicals. The gin has a firm body with sweet orange, warming cloves, cinnamon, and floral notes. It has a smooth, long-lasting, and fresh peppery finish.

Bobby’s Gin is a family business inspired by the family’s tradition. Inspired by their grandfather Bobby Alfons, who immigrated to the Netherlands from the Moluccan ‘spice island’ Ambon and infused Dutch jenever with a mixture of Indonesian spices, grandsons Sebastiaan and David embarked on a mission to revive this heritage. They sought to recreate their grandfather’s cherished spice blend known as Pinang Raci, ultimately giving birth to Bobby’s Gin.

The gin is crafted at a family distillery located in Schiedam, the birthplace of jenever and a historic hub of Dutch distillation. This distillery boasts a rich legacy of producing exceptional spirits with dedication and honesty.
