Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve is the most awarded non-vintage champagne over the last decade, and has been a staff and customer favourite at Loki Wine for a number of years. Charles Heidsieck is unique as they use 12 years of reserve wine in their Brut Reserve, which gives you an astonishing richness on the palate, whilst also maintaining an electric freshness and elegance, with beautiful complexity on the finish.

We consider the Charles Heidsieck one of the most undervalued champagnes around and a champagne that everyone should have on their must-try wines in the world. It provides unparalleled value for your money and a level of quality that exceeds all expectations.

Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve Champagne has an elegant aroma provided by reserve wines that make up 50% of the blend. On the nose, you might find a bouquet of ripe fruits such as apples, pears, and citrus, accompanied by floral aromas and hints of freshly baked brioche and almonds from the ageing process. The champagne’s ageing on the lees (yeast sediment) contributes to its distinctive biscuity and pastry-like notes.

In terms of taste, expect a blend of lively and vibrant fruit flavours like apples, peaches, and lemon zest, complemented by subtle vanilla and nutty undertones. The finish is often described as long and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of fruit and brioche on the palate. It’s fresh, complex and dangerously easily drinkable. This Champagne is renowned for its elegance, complexity and well-integrated bubbles, which create a creamy and luxurious mouthfeel.

This is a full-sized 75cl bottle that will give you approximately 6 to 8 glasses of Champagne, depending on how generous you are with your pouring.

About Charles Heidsieck Champagnes

Despite being the heir to one of the most prestigious champagne houses, Charles-Camille Heidsieck chose to carve his own path and found his own dynasty in order to pursue his own journey. He decided to create the Heidsieck House in 1851 at the age of just 29. He has continued to fascinate, inspire, and show his heirs the way ever since.

Did you know?

Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve is a non-vintage champagne, which means it is not associated with a specific year’s harvest. Instead, it is made using a blend of wines from multiple years, carefully selected by the winemaker to maintain consistent quality and taste profile. To achieve this, the winery keeps a reserve of wines from various vintages, some of which can be 10-12 years old. These reserve wines are then used in the blending process to create a harmonious and well-balanced champagne with each release. The art of blending reserve wines with newly produced ones is a crucial aspect of champagne-making, and it allows the house to deliver a consistent product year after year, capturing the unique character and style of Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve.

  1. Ethan Hughes

This champers is an absolute delight. It has a great balance of ripe green fruit, baked yellow apples, white peach and green apples, with soft minerality and rich citrus. The mature lemon and lime finish it off just perfectly. Insane value for money, very happy.

  2. John D.

Absolutely sensational, especially for the price! It has balanced acidity and a rich, creamy texture that lingers for a while. The winemakers have clearly put their heart and soul into making it. I’ll be coming back for more and more!
