Grosset Wines is a small, family-run operation entering its fifth decade with an unwavering vision to create pure expressions of variety and place. Our four estate-owned vineyards, A-Grade Certified Organic and Biodynamic (ACO), are located in the high-altitude country of the Clare Valley. Each site was meticulously selected for its potential to produce exceptional wine and planted by Grosset. The vineyards are handpicked and hand pruned, with each bunch of grapes harvested at optimum ripeness.
Production is tiny, with a focus on single vineyard wines. The winemaking process is gentle and uncomplicated. Grosset Wines maintains custodianship from grape growing to in-house bottling, ensuring authenticity in every bottle.
This wine surprises with its exuberant aromatics. Delightful floral notes dominate, accompanied by hints of lime juice and beeswax. The nose is almost joyful and playful, with a strong presence of white flowers. On the palate, it is tight, fine, and intense, with a pure and undeveloped thread of lime juice at its core. The wine shows depth of flavour and intensity, even in its youth, suggesting that these will become hallmarks as it ages. The remarkable aromatics add to its allure.
Cellar potential? “As long as you like,” says Jeffrey Grosset, the founder. This will age beautifully for another 25 years, or you can enjoy it now.
