Since 1904, the Kozlovic family has been producing wine in Croatia’s Istrian region. The region borders Friuli, and the wines, food, and people are inextricably linked to their Italian neighbours.
Gianfranco and Antonella Kozlovic run the winery, which currently cultivates 25 hectares of vines. Gianfranco is a perfectionist who is continuously working to enhance his wine; he approaches winemaking in a modern way and creates seriously good wines.
We love Croatian wine, and this is one of our favourites producers. They make wine that just shows the purity of the fruit, and they make this Malvesia sing, with lovely dry crisp notes, and a delicate finish. Kozlovic Malvasia has extremely robust flavours and a solid acidity backbone.
Food pairing suggestion: Zagreb Schnitzel.
