Mulline Vintners is a collaboration between two individuals named Ben, committed to producing top-notch wines sourced from Victoria’s Geelong Region in Australia. Ben Mullen and Ben Hine jointly embody the spirit of Mulline Vintners.
Ben Mullen, a certified winemaker and viticulturist, hails from the area near South Australia’s Barossa Valley. While initially studying business and marketing at university, his love for wine flourished during his time at cellar doors in the Barossa. This passion led him to shift gears, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture and Oenology at Adelaide University. Ben Mullen serves as the winemaker at the vineyard.
Ben Hine oversees the business operations of Mulline Vintners. After completing his studies, he ventured into the legal field, where he has since become a senior lawyer specializing in financial services and risk. With his professional background, Ben Hine brings a sharp business sense to Mulline Vintners, complemented by a refined palate cultivated through years of savouring exceptional wines.
This Syrah is sourced entirely from the Bannockburn Vineyard. It incorporates 30% whole bunches in the blend and undergoes a winemaking process that includes 20% new oak.
A rich, deep purple-red hue, accompanied by a vibrant peppery aroma indicative of Syrah sourced from cool site. Medium-bodied, it boasts smooth, silky tannins, offering a pure expression of dark fruit flavours accented by subtle hints of cocoa, aromatic herbs, and pepper.
