We are super excited to be able to host this stunning online tasting with one of the most collected vineyards in the world Chateau Musar. This estate is known as one of the wines that most collectors will have at least some of in their cellars and is responsible for putting Lebanese wine on the global map, and for a long time was flying the flag on their own.
For those of you who don’t know Chateau Musar, they are Lebanon’s undoubted number one estate, and a global icon, producing wines that will age for many decades. They have a fantastic history producing wine in a country where at times the environment for producing wine has been less than ideal, in particular through the civil war. You will hear the stories of harvesting grapes whilst artillery fire is going on overhead. This is truly a unique estate, which makes the achievement of producing such iconic and unique wine even more impressive.
During this tasting we will be sending you three half bottles of Chateau Musar Red, vintages 1996, 2001 & 2013*. So, you will get to see how Musar ages beautifully, and changes over the decades. Included in the price is a branded Chateau Musar Butler’s Thief corkscrew – designed to open aged bottles of wine. We will show you how to use them in the tasting. And also an information pack and tasting sheet from Chateau Musar.
