A Mano Primitivo Rosato, Producer
A Mano was founded by winemakers Mark Shannon and Elvezia Sbalchiero with the aim of producing authentic wines that reflect the traditions and terroir of Puglia. Working closely with local growers and mature vineyards, the winery focuses on minimal intervention and careful fruit selection to preserve the purity and personality of each wine. A Mano has earned a reputation for crafting expressive Italian wines that combine regional identity with contemporary appeal.
A Mano Primitivo Rosato, Terroir & Winemaking
The Primitivo grapes are sourced from vineyards across Puglia, where warm Mediterranean conditions encourage full flavour development while cooling evening breezes help retain freshness. The grapes are harvested early to preserve acidity and delicate aromatics. After gentle pressing, the juice spends only a short time in contact with the skins to achieve its pale pink colour and soft texture. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to maintain freshness, purity, and vibrant fruit character.
A Mano Primitivo Rosato, Tasting Notes
A Mano Primitivo Rosato offers fragrant aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry, and rose petals, alongside hints of pink grapefruit and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is crisp, juicy, and refreshing, with bright red berry flavours balanced by lively acidity and a smooth, rounded texture. The finish is clean, fruity, and delicately savoury, making it an ideal rosé for warm-weather drinking and relaxed Mediterranean-style dining.
