We’re thrilled to welcome Chester Osborn to Loki Wine Edgbaston for an afternoon of tasting and conversation. Known for both his eccentric flair and his deep commitment to tradition, Chester has built D’Arenberg into one of Australia’s most distinctive and celebrated wineries. His wines are expressive, complex, and always full of personality — much like the man himself.
With over a century of history behind it, D’Arenberg has become synonymous with McLaren Vale. This tasting offers a rare opportunity to experience a range of their most renowned wines — from vibrant whites to powerful reds — while hearing directly from Chester about the philosophies, innovations, and stories that make D’Arenberg such a unique force in the wine world.

About D’Arenberg
Founded in 1912, D’Arenberg is a family-owned winery in the heart of McLaren Vale, South Australia. Today, it is led by fourth-generation winemaker Chester Osborn, whose colourful personality and bold vision have made both the man and the winery internationally famous.
D’Arenberg is known for its distinctive red-stripe labels and its commitment to traditional techniques: all wines are basket-pressed and fermented in small batches, with minimal intervention guiding the process. The estate spans some of McLaren Vale’s most prized vineyards, producing wines of incredible depth, character, and authenticity.
From their playful names like The Dead Arm and The Stump Jump to the architectural wonder of the d’Arenberg Cube, everything about this winery celebrates creativity and individuality while staying true to its roots.
