CHEESE AND WINE VOLUME 4 - KNO - 04/04/2026
£ 45.00

Join us at Loki Knowle for our most popular event: the Cheese and Wine Tasting. Spend a Saturday afternoon exploring seven carefully chosen wines from our collection, each paired with artisan cheeses from trusted suppliers. Expect a mix of classic duos and surprising new matches in this fun, relaxed, and educational tasting.

Guided by one of Loki’s expert hosts, you’ll discover why certain pairings work so well, learn how texture, acidity, and sweetness all influence flavour, and even challenge the idea that Port is the only wine for cheese.

What to Expect at Our Cheese and Wine Tasting

  • Taste seven wines from Loki’s carefully curated collection
  • Discover classic and creative pairings with seven artisan cheeses
  • Learn the principles of matching wine and cheese – contrast, balance, and harmony
  • Enjoy expert insights in a relaxed, sociable setting
  • Take home inspiration for your next cheeseboard or dinner party

Example Wines and Pairings from a Previous Event

  • Pierre Paillard ‘Les Parcelles’ Champagne NV with Délice de Bourgogne – acidity cuts through the rich, creamy texture of this decadent cheese
  • Philippe Portier Quincy with Caerphilly – a light, crisp Sauvignon Blanc pairs beautifully with this fresh, delicate cheese
  • Rafael Palacios ‘Louro’ Godello with Cave Aged Gruyère – richer fruit and body complement the nutty, savoury depth of Gruyère
  • Hay Shed Hill Cabernet Sauvignon with Cashel Blue – creamy Irish blue cheese amplifies the blackcurrant fruit notes of Cabernet
  • San Marzano Talo Primitivo with Provolone Piccante – a bold contrast of sweet fruit against piquant, salty cheese
  • Gérard Bertrand Banyuls with Colston Bassett Stilton – a lighter alternative to Port that still pairs perfectly with rich blue cheese
  • Charles Hours ‘Uroulat’ Jurançon Doux with Pecorino Fresco & Honey – sweet wine overlaps beautifully with the honey, while the young cheese adds texture

Who Should Join the Cheese and Wine Tasting?

  • Cheese lovers curious about perfect wine matches
  • Wine enthusiasts wanting to explore pairing principles
  • Couples, groups of friends, or colleagues looking for a weekend treat
  • Both beginners and seasoned tasters – this event is designed to be engaging, approachable, and delicious for everyone
