This is a tasting with the Domaines Baron de Rothschild Lafite export director Tiphaine de Rességuier. Showcasing 12 wines from Lafite’s most prized estates; Bodegas Caro, Vina Los Vascos, Ch. L’Evangile, Ch. Aussieres and Ch. Rieussec.

During this tasting, you will explore some of the finest estates in the world owned by the Rothschild family. when you are guided through these wines you will see a strong vein of the classic Lafite French style running through each wine.

At the heart of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite group lies the illustrious Château Lafite Rothschild. The first château purchased by the French arm of the Rothschild family, Lafite has cultivated a tradition of winegrowing practices and expertise over six generations. Named the ‘Lafite spirit’, this has continued to guide the production of high-quality wines with finesse and elegance throughout the group’s properties over the past century and a half.

It is this pioneering ‘Lafite Spirit’, based on a rich past and tradition rooted in the soils of Bordeaux, that has led the Group to open up to the world, establishing vineyards in new regions and producing new, high-quality wines. The handing down of knowledge from generation to generation persists to the present day, with the most recent succession occurring in 2018 when Saskia de Rothschild became the 6th generation to take up the reins of Château Lafite and Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite.

Beyond the Bordeaux properties of Château Duhart-Milon, Château Rieussec and Château L’Évangile, the Group today also counts the prestigious wineries of Viña Los Vascos (Chile, 1988), Domaine d’Aussières (Languedoc, 1999), Bodegas Caro (Argentina, 1999) and a new vineyard in China, Domaine de Long Dai, among its collection.
