Join us for an unforgettable evening of fine food and world-class English wine, as we welcome Oliver Putter, Head of Sales at Hattingley Valley, for an exclusive tasting dinner at Chapter in Edgbaston.

Hattingley Valley is one of the UK’s most acclaimed wineries, producing elegant, award-winning sparkling and still wines from the chalk soils of Hampshire. Known for their innovative approach and meticulous winemaking, their wines have won hundreds of international awards and are served in British Airways First Class, Michelin-starred restaurants, and top hotels around the world.

Oliver will be hosting the evening and sharing insights from behind the scenes at Hattingley — from vineyard to bottle — while guiding you through a specially selected line-up of five wines, including a rare pour from magnum and some limited-release bottlings.

This is your chance to experience the very best of modern English winemaking, paired with a seasonal four-course menu from the team at Chapter, recently named one of the Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Local Restaurants.

A vibrant, orchard-fruited sparkling wine with notes of green apple, citrus, and toasted brioche — poured from magnum for extra richness and finesse.

Smoked Duck Breast with orange & fennel salad
🍷 Hattingley Valley Museum Release Brut Rosé 2017 from Magnum
Elegant and expressive, with wild strawberry and redcurrant notes balanced by a crisp, refreshing acidity and a fine mousse.

Fish Course
Fillet of Red Mullet; local peas | butter sauce | batter scraps
🍷 Hattingley Valley Blanc de Blancs 2018
A precise and pure Chardonnay sparkling wine, aged on lees for over four years. Expect lemon zest, white peach, and delicate pastry notes.

Main Course
Duo of Devon Chicken; roasted breast | black pudding stuffed leg | braised gem lettuce | confit tomatoes
🍷 Hattingley Valley Still Chardonnay 2022
A rare still expression from Hattingley — fresh and lightly oaked with hints of ripe pear, citrus blossom, and a gentle creamy finish.

🍷 Hattingley Valley Entice NV
A beautifully balanced sweet wine made from late-harvest Bacchus grapes — honeyed with notes of tropical fruit, elderflower, and orange zest.
