On Saturday 29th August, we invite you to a special evening exploring the remarkable diversity of Portuguese wine. Hosted by Anthony Symington, this guided tasting will take you on a journey through three of Portugal’s most celebrated wine regions, each offering a unique expression of the country’s rich winemaking heritage.
Symington Family Estates has been producing exceptional wines in Portugal for over five generations. Best known for its world-renowned Ports, the family has also become one of the country’s leading producers of still wines, combining a deep respect for tradition with a forward-thinking approach to sustainable viticulture. Their estates span some of Portugal’s finest vineyards, creating wines that capture the individuality of each region.
During this guided virtual tasting, you will discover three contrasting wines: a crisp, refreshing white from Vinho Verde, an elegant rosé from the dramatic slopes of the Douro Valley, and a richly flavoured red from the sun-drenched vineyards of Alentejo. Along the way, Anthony will share the stories behind the wines, the regions they come from, and what makes Portugal one of the world’s most exciting wine-producing countries.

You will receive an invitation to Zoom video meeting by Saturday midday. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you have during the event, please use the chat for that.

- Three 750ml bottles of wine (enough for up to 3-6 people depending on how much you want to drink)
- Live wine tasting with Phil the owner of Loki wine, Will, a cheese expert and the owner of Anderson & Hill, and our special guest.

- Video of the tasting is sent to everyone the next day after the tasting so that you can enjoy it at a time convenient for you, if you can’t make it live.
