Upcoming Online Wine Tastings
Bodegas Salentein, Argentina – Saturday 24th October
- Date: Saturday 24th October 2026, 6pm
- Location: Online via Zoom, with the link sent on the day
- Wines: One white and two reds
- Cheese: TBC
Join us for an evening in Argentina’s Uco Valley with Jorge Cabeza, winemaker at Bodegas Salentein, and Stenia Paparella from the estate’s international business development team.
Set at the foot of the Andes in Mendoza, Salentein is a pioneer of premium winemaking in the Uco Valley. Its high-altitude vineyards enjoy bright sunshine and cool nights, helping the grapes develop ripe flavours while retaining freshness. It’s a setting that gives the wines plenty of character – and gives us plenty to talk about over a glass.
Salentein’s vineyards stretch across different elevations and soils, allowing the team to explore a range of grape varieties and styles. While Malbec is an important part of the estate’s story, there’s more to discover here than Argentina’s best-known red.
We’ll taste one white and two reds, with Jorge and Stenia sharing the stories behind the bottles and offering an insight into life at the estate. Having someone involved in making the wines join us makes this a lovely opportunity to hear how decisions in the vineyard and winery shape what ends up in your glass.
Trinity Hill, New Zealand – Saturday 21st November
- Date: Saturday 21st November 2026
- Location: Online via Zoom, with the link sent on the day
- Wines: Three Trinity Hill wines
- Cheese: TBC
Join us for an evening in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, with Trinity Hill, one of the pioneering wineries of the renowned Gimblett Gravels winegrowing district.
Trinity Hill was established in 1993 after its founders recognised the potential of the Gimblett Gravels – an extraordinary area of stony soils created by the old Ngaruroro River. What was once considered fairly unpromising land has since become one of New Zealand’s most celebrated places for growing grapes, particularly Syrah, Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties.
The estate has three vineyards within the Gimblett Gravels, where the warm, free-draining soils help produce wines with plenty of concentration, character and freshness. Trinity Hill has built its reputation around wines that express this distinctive part of Hawke’s Bay, ranging from elegant Chardonnay to powerful, spicy Syrah.
During the tasting, we’ll explore three Trinity Hill wines, discovering some of the different varieties and styles that have made Hawke’s Bay such an exciting part of New Zealand’s wine scene. Along the way, we’ll hear more about the estate, its vineyards and what makes the Gimblett Gravels such a special place to grow grapes.
Whether you already love New Zealand wine or usually associate the country mainly with Sauvignon Blanc, this is a brilliant chance to discover another side of New Zealand winemaking.
