Loki Wine Club: Your New Friday-Night Wine Ritual
Bring a bottle, discover something unexpected and spend Friday evening sharing wine with a room full of fellow wine lovers.
Sometimes, Friday night calls for a glass of wine. And sometimes, you want that glass to come with good company, a little education and the chance to try something completely unexpected.
That is exactly what Loki Wine Club is for.
This relaxed monthly gathering is for people who believe wine is best enjoyed with others. Each guest helps shape the evening by bringing a bottle of wine from home or choosing one from Loki’s shelves. One of our Loki wine experts will host the evening, guide the group through the wines and help uncover the stories, regions, producers and winemaking ideas behind whatever appears on the table.
Together, we will open a collection of bottles, share them around and see where the evening takes us. It is not a formal wine class: there are no tests, no pressure and nobody will ask you to deliver tasting notes in front of the room.
You are very welcome to come on your own, and you do not need to know anybody before you arrive. The whole idea is to meet fellow wine lovers, discover something new and enjoy bottles that are much more fun when opened with other people.
How it works?
- Bring a bottle you love, something interesting, or something you’d like to learn more about, no corkage fee
- Share your bottle with the group and taste wines brought by other guests
- Not sure what to choose? Simply buy your ticket and turn up. Arrive around 10–15 minutes early and we can help you choose something from Loki’s shelves.
- There is no corkage fee, whether you bring your own bottle or buy one in-store
- Enjoy a guided introduction and informal discussion led by our in-house expert
- Discover a wonderfully unpredictable collection of bottles each month
- Hear the story behind each wine — and share your own, if you would like to
- Learn from our Loki wine expert and the other wine lovers around the table
- Taste, share and discuss wine in a relaxed setting with no rigid structure
- Meet new people in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere
- Suitable for everyone, whatever your level of wine knowledge
What Should You Bring?
There is no prescribed theme and no bottle budget.
You could bring:
- A £15 bottle you have recently discovered and absolutely love
- Something unusual that you would like to understand better
- A special bottle you have been saving for an occasion that never quite came up
- An older bottle gathering dust at home that you received as a gift.
- Something extravagant you have always wanted to share with people who will appreciate it
Perhaps you bought a bottle years ago for a special dinner, but the occasion never arrived. Perhaps the people you planned to open it with have since stopped drinking. This is your opportunity to finally pull the cork and share it with a room full of curious wine lovers.
There is no upper price limit and no pressure to impress. If you are not sure about your bottle, simply drop us an email and we will advise.
Wine Club Rules
- No pressure to impress, although we may have to turn you down if you bring Blossom Hill, sorry..
- Know your wine and want to tell everyone the story behind your bottle? Please do. We would love to hear about it.
- Know absolutely nothing about it and would rather let someone else do the talking? That is completely fine too.
- Our Loki expert, Melissa, will guide the tasting, talk us through the bottles and help everyone understand what they are drinking. Of course, anyone who thinks they can bring something capable of puzzling her is very welcome to try!
- The evening is informal and conversational. We will open the bottles, pour them around, compare what everyone has brought and enjoy a completely unpredictable selection of wines together.
- No two Wine Club evenings will ever be quite the same — because the wines are chosen by you.
