Join us at Loki Edgbaston for an evening exploring the wines of Tenuta San Leonardo, hosted by Guido Baldeschi Balleani, the estate’s Export Director. With nine wines to discover, the tasting brings together an introduction to this Trentino producer and a particularly exciting centrepiece: four consecutive vintages of its iconic San Leonardo, tasted side by side.
Jancis Robinson has described San Leonardo as “Surely the most successful Bordeaux blend of Northern Italy”, praising its consistency and refinement. This evening offers an opportunity to explore that reputation for yourself, with someone from the estate to guide you through the wines.
The highlight is a vertical tasting of San Leonardo 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, with individual bottles priced from £98.99 to £107.99. Tasting the same wine across four harvests gives you the opportunity to compare vintage character, explore the influence of time in bottle and discover what connects each expression of San Leonardo.
Alongside the vertical, you’ll taste Vette Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Terre di San Leonardo, Villa Gresti and Carmenère. Whether you already know San Leonardo or are discovering the estate for the first time, this promises a fascinating evening of comparison and conversation.
