Sevilen Nativus Narince, Producer
Founded in 1942 by Bulgarian immigrant Isa Güner, Sevilen began with just four hectares in Izmir and a dream to produce quality Turkish wine. Over the decades, his passion and vision have been carried forward by his sons and now the third generation of the Güner family. Today, Sevilen owns over 160 hectares of vineyards across Turkey, making them one of the country’s leading producers of premium, terroir-driven wines.
Sevilen Nativus Narince, Terroir & Winemaking
The Narince grapes are sourced from twenty to twenty-five-year-old vines in Tokat, Eastern Anatolia. Situated at 400 metres above sea level, the vineyard benefits from clay soils and cooling breezes from the Black Sea, which help preserve acidity and aromatic freshness. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks to capture purity of fruit. After fermentation, the wine spends time ageing on its lees to enhance texture and complexity before bottling.
Sevilen Nativus Narince, Tasting Notes
Aromas of white blossom and citrus peel lead into a palate brimming with ripe white peach and apricot. Medium-bodied yet refreshing, the wine is lifted by bright acidity that carries through to a clean, lingering finish. A subtle lees-derived creaminess adds depth without overshadowing the fruit’s vibrancy.
