Fiano

The Fiano grape is most famously produced in the Avellino region of Campania in Southern Italy. The quality of wines produced today has really benefited from modern winemaking technology, since the wines made from Fiano were often prone to oxidation in the past.

The increased understanding of how best to handle Fiano has resulted in some stunning wines with aromas of honey, nuts and sometimes a slight hint of blossom. The wines tend to be crisp and refreshing with enough character to drink on their own, but are also excellent with seafood.
