ArmAs Voskehat: A Unique Armenian White
ArmAs is one of Armenia’s leading producers, combining the country’s long history of winemaking with a modern approach. This Voskehat is a stunning, crisp white with a wonderfully fresh mouthfeel, and a truly unique wine to discover.
ArmAs is a family estate founded in 2007 in the Aragatsotn region. Its vineyards sit at 700–1,900 metres on volcanic, limestone and clay soils, with hot sunny summers and cold winters. The vines are ungrafted, which is rare in the modern wine world.
Voskehat is one of Armenia’s most important native white grapes. ArmAs ferment it in stainless steel, then age it on its lees for several months with regular stirring, giving the wine extra texture.
Expect apricot, white blossom, fresh herbs and lime, with a touch of spice and minerality. The palate is dry and lively, with a slightly chewy texture and a fresh finish.
ArmAs Voskehat Food Pairing Suggestion:
Lovely with herby or spiced fish and chicken, dolma, meze and other Middle Eastern dishes. It also works well as an aperitif.
