Terroir & Winemaking

Le Rosé Création 67 is built on a carefully selected palette of high-quality grapes and reserve wines: the blend comprises approximately 52% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay, and 14% Pinot Meunier. Red wines from Bouzy, Les Riceys and the Vallée de la Marne are incorporated in small proportion, giving this rosé its delicate salmon-pink colour and subtle structure. A significant portion of the blend is drawn from rosé reserve wines (a Lanson hallmark) which enriches aromatic complexity and ensures consistency across vintages. Moreover, the cuvée undergoes several years of ageing on the lees in Lanson’s chalk cellars, allowing texture to build while preserving the House’s hallmark freshness.

The wine offers a subtle salmon-pink hue with fine, light bubbles. On the nose, delicate scents of raspberry, pomegranate, blood orange and a whisper of rose petal emerge. The palate is crisp yet smooth, with mineral freshness balancing vibrant red-fruit and citrus-peel notes: expect strawberry, redcurrant, pomelo and a dash of floral charm. A refined mid-palate transitions into a clean, lingering finish; vivid, elegant and expressive.

Did you know?

Lanson’s archives show that the first rosé Champagne by the House was created in 1833, making Lanson one of the earliest houses to produce a blended rosé. The “Création” series marks a reinterpretation of that heritage: each year the Cellar Master blends a new edition and assigns it a number (in this case, “67”) to reflect the evolving legacy of this rosé programme.
