DeLoach Vineyards has been experimenting with and perfecting the optimum mixes of soil, rootstock, and clones for more than three decades in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley. They are proud to be a pioneering producer and winegrower of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel.
The Boisset family moved from Burgundy, France, to California’s Russian River Valley in 2003, bringing with them two generations of sustainable winemaking expertise. They also pulled up the estate vineyards that had just produced the 2004 Wine Enthusiast Wine of the Year, DeLoach Vineyards’ 30th Anniversary Cuvée Pinot Noir. In order to regenerate the soil, the award-winning vineyards were replanted with cover crops, and in the meantime, DeLoach teamed up with winemakers who shared their love for and dedication to eco-friendly farming methods and the creation of premium wines.
DeLoach Heritage Reserve Pinot Noir is delicate, well-balanced California red wine that has delicious flavours of Bing cherry and strawberry. The aromas and flavours are exquisitely complemented with just a slight note of spice and forest floor. The wine has a light body and a mid-length finish.
Food pairing suggestion: Wild mushroom tartlets.
