Folc (from old English ‘people, tribe and family’) was established in 2019 by the dynamic duo Elisha Rai and Tom Cannon. The inception of Folc coincided with England’s initial experience of ‘lockdown life,’ a period that compelled everyone to pause and discover contentment in simple delights such as strolls in the park and leisurely picnics during the late summer.
Folc Rosé was designed to be a wine that exuberantly honours the spirit of togetherness. Elisha and Tom, who had left their fast-paced careers in the city at the age of 30, aspired to craft a rosé that encapsulated their adoration for the idyllic countryside existence. They envisioned a wine made from natural, simple ingredients, celebrating the cadence of the changing seasons.
There is an essence of an English summer garden in every sip of this Rosé. It is dry, fresh, with enchanting medley of aromas: ripe peaches, vibrant raspberries, and crisp red apples, followed by delightful flavours of supple red berries and luscious watermelon.
Encased within its bottle crafted from wild flint, composed entirely of 100% recycled glass, Folc is a testament to sustainability and the appreciation of nature’s beauty.
English Rosé is finally on the map and what a delicious debut it is!
Did you know? Elisha, the co-founder of Folc, is one of the first women of colour in the winemaking field of the UK. Recognising this underrepresentation, she and her team aspire to bring about a transformative shift within the industry. Folc is also highest scoring still Rosé producer in the country.
