Jansz is the leading sparkling wine producer in Tasmania. The island creates ideal condition for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay growing, making it a perfect place to produce sparkling wine.
Although the first commercial vineyard plantings in Tasmania began in 1865, most of them had a brief existence. Since the late 1970s, there has been a revival, and it feels as though this extraordinary winegrowing region is only now beginning to reach its full potential.
This bright yet delicate non-vintage rosé, a wine made for enjoyment and refreshment, comes from the best Tasmanian vineyards. Made using traditional methods (or, as the producers call it, Methode Tasmanoise) while drawing inspiration from modern innovations in technology and expertise.
There are enticing fragrances of fresh brioche, Turkish delight, rose petals, and strawberries and cream. While maintaining a beautiful vibrancy and freshness, the palate is creamy, velvety, and deep. A joyful wine, a summer in the glass. This has enough to give some Champagne a run for its money.
Food pairing suggestion: smoked salmon blini and crème fraîche or poached quince tart.
