Las Veletas Viognier is a beautifully crafted Chilean white wine that captivates the senses with its aromatic charm and well-balanced flavours. Hailing from the sun-drenched vineyards, this Viognier showcases the essence of the grape variety in every glass.
Las Veletas is situated on a historic, aged estate situated in the arid region of San Javier. For numerous decades, this property has been home to vineyards containing país, carignan vines, and mixtures of various red grape varieties. With this foundation in mind, we have undertaken efforts to revive the vintage vine stocks and establish new vineyards featuring more traditional grape varieties. This dedicated labor is led by Raúl Dell’Oro, the owner, who, after many years of tending to the land, partnered with the renowned winemaker Rafael Tirado to bring the Las Veletas winery project to life.
Las Veletas Viognier entices with an aromatic bouquet of ripe stone fruits, such as apricot and peach, accompanied by floral notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom. The palate is rich and velvety, with flavours of tropical fruits, including pineapple and mango, complemented by a hint of spice. The wine’s texture is luxurious, with a subtle creaminess that leads to a crisp, refreshing finish.
