Britain’s food and drink scene has never been more exciting. From world-class traditional-method sparkling wines and elegant cool-climate whites to increasingly impressive reds, British wine has developed a distinctive identity of its own — and alongside it sits one of the richest and most varied cheesemaking traditions anywhere in the world.

For this special British Cheese & Wine Tasting, we’re exploring the best of both with seven carefully selected British wines, each matched with a complementary British cheese. Expect everything from crisp, aromatic whites and beautifully refined sparkling wines to elegant Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and more adventurous styles from producers pushing the boundaries of what British vineyards can achieve.

Guided by one of Loki’s wine experts, you’ll discover how Britain’s cool climate, long growing season, chalk and clay soils and increasingly ambitious winemakers shape the wines in your glass. Along the way, we’ll explore why traditional-method sparkling wine has become such a British success story, which grape varieties thrive here and how the country’s still wines continue to evolve.

Each wine will be served alongside a carefully selected cheese, giving you the opportunity to explore some brilliant regional combinations while learning how acidity, salt, creaminess, texture and intensity work together.

Expect exciting local producers, fantastic cheese, surprising pairings and a delicious look at just how far British wine has come.
