Tim Wildman MW is one of the world’s few producers dedicated almost entirely to pétillant naturel, the ancient sparkling wine style known as pét-nat. Originally from the UK, Wildman became a Master of Wine before relocating to Australia, where he developed a fascination with naturally sparkling wines. Rather than treating pét-nat as a side project, he built his entire winery around the style, creating wines that are playful, expressive and technically impressive. Piggy Pop has become one of Australia’s best-known pét-nats, helping introduce a new generation of drinkers to the category while maintaining a focus on quality and authenticity.

The wine is produced from organically grown Mediterranean grape varieties sourced from South Australia’s Riverland, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills regions. Nero d’Avola forms the backbone of the blend, supported by a changing cast of varieties that contribute freshness, aromatics and texture. The grapes are harvested by hand, fermented with wild yeasts and bottled before fermentation has finished, allowing the final stage to take place naturally in bottle. No fining, filtration or sulphur additions are used, preserving the wine’s vibrant fruit character and naturally cloudy appearance. The result is a gentle sparkle with a soft mousse and an energetic, fruit-driven personality.
