London Clay Sparkling Rosé, Producer
London Clay is an urban winery based in Essex, using estate grown grapes to create expressive, terroir-driven wines. Their focus is on minimal intervention winemaking, sustainability, and showcasing what England’s soils and climate can achieve. Despite its metropolitan base, London Clay works closely with growers in Kent and Sussex — some of the most prized sparkling wine regions in the country.
London Clay Sparkling Rosé, Terroir & Winemaking
The grapes for this rosé are 100% Pinot Noir from chalky sites in Kent. The cool climate the area helps preserve acidity, while the chalky soils contribute finesse and minerality. Made using the Charmat method, this sparkling rosé is textured yet fresh. The dosage is kept low to highlight purity and balance.
London Clay Sparkling Rosé, Tasting Notes
Bright and expressive, with aromas of wild strawberry, red apple skin, and crushed rose petals. The palate is fresh and dry, offering tart cranberry, raspberry, and a touch of brioche. The bubbles are fine and lively, creating an elegant mouthfeel. The wine finishes long and clean, with hints of citrus zest and a savoury herbal lift.
