Category:

Bogle is a family farming business of 6 generations. The first vine plantings are dated back to 1968, starting from only 20 acres. Today they have their estate vineyards in Larksburg, Lodi and the Sierra Foothillsare, but they are also sourcing grapes from some of the best sites in California.

The family are farmers first and foremost, so they understand the significance of sustainability. Wine is only as good as the grapes used to make it, so winemakers collaborate with a large number of long-term grower partners in top Californian growing areas. They are paid bonuses for fruit that is not only of a high calibre but also accredited by the California Rules for Sustainable Winegrowing.

This Bogle is a classic Chardonnay from this region: big bold, rich and oaky. The juice is 50% steel and 50% new oak fermented (with manual nothly lees steering), giving the wine aromas of vanilla and honeycomb, as well as Asian pears and Honeycrisp apples. Silky mouthfeel and lingering finish with notes of warm apple pie.

This is not for the faint-hearted, however, we think this is the perfect wine if you are looking for those incredible buttery oaky notes. Bogle Chardonnay offers superb quality for the price.

Bogle Chardonnay food pairing suggestion:

Bogle Chardonnay pairs well with a variety of dishes, from halibut and cod to roast pork and pasta carbonara. The ultimate choice is seared foie gras on toasted brioche.

If you like your Chardonnay – give Bogle a try. It’s fragrant, richly textured white wine. It’s a superb recommendation for anyone seeking something beyond the ordinary!
