Chateau Ksara Reserve du Couvent Rouge is a premium red wine produced by Chateau Ksara, one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Lebanon. The winery is located in the Bekaa Valley, a region known for its ideal climate and soil conditions for growing high-quality grapes.
Lebanon produces exceptional wine, with the famous Chateau Musar initially bringing the spotlight to the country. This wine is a blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, three of the most popular grape varieties used in red wine production. The grapes are hand-picked and undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used. The wine shows notes of strawberry and plum, with subtle bell-pepper and hints of oak on the finish. A good choice for grilled red meats and rustic stews.
On the nose, Chateau Ksara Reserve du Couvent Rouge has aromas of blackberry, plum, and black cherry, as well as hints of vanilla, oak, and spice. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with flavours of black fruit, chocolate, and coffee, as well as a subtle hint of tobacco. The wine has a long, smooth finish with well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity.
Food pairing suggestion: This wine pairs well with a variety of hearty dishes, including roasted or grilled meats, stews, and casseroles. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a special occasion wine.

Ava Cooper –
Enjoyed the chateau ksara reserve du covent rouge with lamb shanks done lebanese style. Perfect pairing for a lebanese wine. Wine was complex with aromas of black fruit and leather and taste of vanilla, oak and plum. Impressed for my first lebanese wine.
