Las Veletas represents an age-old traditional estate nestled in the arid San Javier region, where vineyards have been cultivating Pais, Carignan vines, and various red grape blends for numerous years. With this foundation, we have diligently worked towards revitalizing the original vine stocks and establishing new vineyards featuring more classic varietals. This endeavor has been spearheaded by Raúl Dell’Oro, the property owner, who, following several years dedicated to working the land, entered into a partnership with the renowned winemaker Rafael Tirado to bring the Las Veletas winery project to fruition.
It all began as something for friends and family to enjoy, solely driven by the passion for crafting exceptional wines by the winemakers. The complete freedom to explore, experiment, and even make mistakes provided the ideal environment for unleashing creativity, resulting in entirely unique outcomes. These wines were crafted with a singular objective: to be savored within the intimate setting of one’s home, raised in celebration, and shared with loved ones. Production batches remained intentionally limited in quantity to uphold the highest standards of quality.
