Founded in 1999 after over two decades of studying the terroirs, Mandrarossa wines are the product of continuous research and experimentation focused on innovation. As a result, they showcase a unique side of Sicily, breaking away from traditional stereotypes.
Grillo is a vibrant white wine made from the namesake grape. Though it’s widely recognised for its role in Marsala, the famous Sicilian fortified wine used for both drinking and cooking, many producers are now crafting outstanding single-varietal Grillo wines. Mandrarossa is one of the best-known producers making exceptional Grillo wines.
This wine is fermented in stainless steel vats, followed by 4 months of maturation in steel. The nose is intense and lively, featuring aromas of fruits and Sicilian citrus such as loquat, prickly pear, grapefruit, and hints of basil. On the palate, it is fresh, vibrant, and very enjoyable.
Food pairing suggestion: Roasted swordfish.
