The Azienda Agricola Pala, also known as the Pala estate, was established in Sardinia, Italy, in 1950 when Salvatore Pala oversaw the first harvest.
Now in its third generation, Mario Pala, son of Salvatore, continues the family legacy alongside his wife Rita, and their children Massimiliano, Elisabetta, and Mariantonietta, representing the fourth generation. Since 1950, the Pala family has upheld a tradition of combining terroir, heritage, and environmental stewardship, with a profound dedication to crafting wines that authentically reflect the family’s character and the unique essence of this remarkable island.
This delightful red is a blend of Carignan (locally called Carignano) and Monica, found exclusively on the Island of Sardinia. The winemaking process involves maceration under controlled temperatures, utilising yeasts carefully chosen from our own vineyards. Following maceration, gentle clarifications are conducted, followed by refinement in stainless steel vats and ultimately in the bottle.
The wine boasts an intense aroma of vibrant notes of red fruits with dry yet velvety softness. Its lingering finish ensures a lasting impression, with a delightful, plummy mouthfeel.
Food pairing suggestion: Milanese veal cutlets.
