From sailors’ rations and sugar plantations to beach bars, Daiquiris and full-blown Tiki extravagance, rum has one of the most colourful stories in the drinks world.
Tot to Tiki by Amuse Booze takes you on a journey through that story, following rum from its early Caribbean beginnings to the remarkably diverse spirit we know today. Across four timeline-inspired serves, you’ll discover how one spirit evolved into three distinct traditions — Rum, Ron and Rhum — shaped by different islands, empires, ingredients and approaches to production.
Expect history without the history lesson, plenty of fascinating facts and four very different drinks designed to bring each chapter of the story to life.
Pirates may feature.
Tiny umbrellas are not guaranteed.
About the Experience
Across four rounds, your Amuse Booze host will take you through key moments in rum’s evolution, with each drink representing a different chapter in its story.
We’ll explore how sugarcane became spirit, why British, Spanish and French Caribbean islands developed such different styles, and how everything from naval traditions and colonial trade to Prohibition and post-war Tiki culture helped shape the way we drink rum today.
Along the way, you’ll discover the difference between molasses-based rum and fresh sugarcane Rhum Agricole, explore contrasting ageing and production styles, and taste how geography and history have created an extraordinary range of flavours.
Expect stories, interactive moments and plenty of Amuse Booze fun along the way.

- Rhum – the distinctive French Caribbean tradition, particularly Rhum Agricole, produced directly from fresh sugarcane juice rather than molasses

From Tot to Tiki
Rum’s story isn’t really one story at all.
It’s sailors and sugarcane. Pirates and plantations. Caribbean islands separated by language and empire. Naval rations, elegant Cuban cocktails and enormous Tiki creations decorated with enough fruit to qualify as lunch.
Tot to Tiki brings those stories together through four drinks, four moments in time and plenty of opportunities to discover just how varied one spirit can be.
Come thirsty. Leave knowing your Rum from your Ron and your Rhum.
