Danbury Ridge Pinot Noir, Terroir & Winemaking
The Pinot Noir is sourced from estate vineyards planted on well-drained, sandy and gravelly soils, ideal for the variety’s delicate root systems. The cool maritime climate of the Crouch Valley provides long ripening periods, encouraging flavour complexity while preserving natural acidity and fine tannic structure.
Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified in small batches to ensure precise control. Fermentation takes place in open-top fermenters, followed by ageing in premium French oak barrels — selected for their subtle influence and fine-grain texture. The result is a Pinot Noir of remarkable poise and concentration, balancing purity of fruit with gentle oak integration.
