Terre dei Buth Brut, Producer

Terre dei Buth is a family-run, fully organic and vegan winery based in Mareno di Piave, Treviso: the heart of the Prosecco DOC region. The estate is managed by the Marion family (third generation) and stands out for its commitment to sustainability, organic viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking.

Their philosophy is simple: grow healthy grapes in healthy soils, respect nature, and let the fruit’s purity shine through. They avoid unnecessary additives and adopt the Charmat (Martinotti) method for sparkling wine, preserving freshness, clarity and vibrant aromatics.

Terre dei Buth Brut, Terroir & Winemaking

Terre dei Buth’s vineyards lie in the Treviso area of Veneto, where gentle hills, moderate climate and well-drained soils allow the local grape (Glera) to ripen with a lively balance of acidity and aromatic lift. The organic farms nurture biodiversity, soil health and vine vitality.

Harvest is done carefully by hand (or gentle picking), and grapes are pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Secondary fermentation occurs in pressurized tanks (the Charmat method), producing the wine’s characteristic sparkle while keeping fruit, acidity and minerality intact.

The result is a clean, vibrant Prosecco: fine mousse, crisp acidity and a profile that balances orchard fruit and fresh-citrus clarity with a subtle, mineral edge.

Terre dei Buth Brut, Tasting Notes

Pale straw-yellow with fine, persistent bubbles. On the nose, you’ll find green apple, pear, lemon peel, a hint of white peach and fresh citrus zest, along with a touch of acacia blossom and chalky minerality.

The palate is crisp and refreshing, delivering apple, pear, lemon zest and light white floral notes, supported by lively acidity and a slight bread-crust or almond-skin nuance. The finish is clean, brisk and slightly mineral — elegant, bright and very easy on the palate.

Food pairing suggestion: Light Vegetable Tempura & Citrus-Herb Aioli. The wine’s citrus freshness and mineral lift brighten the delicate crunch and subtle sweetness of tempura vegetables — it’s a lively, unexpected pairing that elevates both dish and drink.

Did You Know?

The name “Terre dei Buth” comes from a local Venetian dialect: “Terre” meaning “lands” and “buth” meaning “buds.” It’s a nod to the vineyard soils, where new shoots (new life) appear each spring across the estate’s organic plots.
