The Adrianna Catena Fortuna Terrae Malbec is a wine sourced from the prestigious Adrianna Vineyard. This Malbec is a true reflection of its terroir, showcasing the unique and exceptional qualities of the Mendoza region.
Fortuna Terrae translates to “luck of the land” in Latin, and truly, these vines from this portion of the Adrianna Vineyard are fortunate. The rich loamy soils support a diverse array of native grasses, preventing erosion and drawing beneficial insects, melodious birds, and mountain foxes. Thanks to the freshness nurtured by the deep soils and high elevation, the wines of Fortuna Terrae boast ideal acidity and subtle floral fragrances. It’s recommended to savour this wine several years or even decades after its harvest.
In the glass, it reveals a deep, inky purple hue, hinting at the richness within. The nose is an enticing bouquet of ripe blackberries, plums, and dark cherries, interwoven with subtle notes of violet, vanilla, and a touch of mocha. These aromas foreshadow the indulgent palate that follows.
On the palate, this Malbec delivers a harmonious blend of power and elegance. Ripe fruit flavours dominate, with layers of black fruit, cassis, and a touch of blueberry, complemented by hints of dark chocolate and well-integrated oak. The tannins are refined, contributing to a velvety texture that adds to the wine’s overall allure.

2020 Vintage
This wine undergoes a thorough cold maceration process at temperatures below 10ºC to extract its aromatic qualities. Following this, the juice is fermented for approximately 13-19 days, with an additional post-fermentation maceration period lasting around 8-12 days. It is then aged for 14-18 months in French Oak barrels. 2020 was an extremely good vintage.
