Tinto Pesquera Reserva is a red wine produced by Alejandro Fernández, a renowned winemaker from the Ribera del Duero region of Spain. The wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, which are known for producing full-bodied and complex red wines.
From the pioneers of red wine in Ribera del Duero, the iconic Pesquera winery, their Reserva based on Tempranillo offers a very different expression of the grape to the wines of the Rioja region. The iconic winery which helped establish Ribera del Duero as a premium wine region. Full-bodied with plenty of spicy blackberry fruit and a long finish. Lovely. A much more powerful style of Tempranillo with ripe black fruit, cedar, spice and earthy notes. Very serious and delicious.
In the glass, Pesquera wine has a deep ruby colour with purple reflections. On the nose, the wine has intense aromas of dark fruit, such as blackberry and black cherry, as well as notes of vanilla, spice, and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with flavours of ripe fruit, cocoa, and a hint of smokiness. The tannins are firm and well-structured, providing a long and lingering finish.
Food pairing suggestion: This wine pairs well with a variety of dishes, including roasted meats, stews, and strong cheeses.
