B Rum has been in development at the local distillery – Dr Eamers – for a little while. Overcoming the hurdles of the last 2 years, including the pandemic, months of delays, production shutdowns, glass shortages, many botched bottle prints, and ingredient shortages, it finally saw the light in 2022.
It was born in the Caribbean, created and distilled in wooden stills in Guyana, and then redistilled in Dr Eamers’ copper stills (Doris and Lenny) in the West Midlands, just a short distance from the canal that helped the Black Country and Birmingham region prosper. B Rum bottle features this iconic waterway, which serves as the economic engine of West Midlands and elegantly depicts its historic network. This is the first in a line of B Spirit products created to honour both the Commonwealth Games and our wonderful region.
The map was kindly provided by the Lockmaster Maps, and a portion of each sale goes toward that. The map was initially created in the 1970s by an ex-surveyor and used as the first map of our magnificent “Bigger Venice.” It is a sipping white rum, incredibly light and silky – Dr Eamer’s signature white, produced by slow secondary distillation. The flavour highlights are the vibrant tropical fruit like mango, pineapple, and passion fruit. Pair it with clear mixers or give your favourite rum cocktails a tropical edge.
