Graham’s 20 Year Old Tawny is a premium fortified wine produced by Graham’s, one of the most respected Port houses in Portugal. This wine is made from a blend of traditional Port grape varieties, including Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Nacional, and Touriga Franca.
Graham’s 20 Year Old Tawny is aged in oak barrels for an average of 20 years, which gives it a deep, complex flavour profile. During this time, the wine oxidises and takes on a tawny colour, as well as flavours of caramel, nuts, and dried fruit.
On the nose, Graham’s 20 Year Old Tawny has aromas of raisins, figs, and caramel, as well as hints of almonds and orange peel. On the palate, the wine is rich and velvety, with flavours of toffee, caramel, and roasted nuts, as well as a hint of spice. The wine has a long, smooth finish, with a touch of sweetness and a balanced acidity. I offers perhaps the perfect balance of cask maturation-derived complexity and intensity of baked red fruit in Aged Tawny Port.
This wine should be served slightly chilled and can be stored for several years, allowing it to develop even more complexity and nuance over time.
Food pairing suggestion: A match made in heaven for sweet desserts and cheese boards. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a luxurious after-dinner drink.
