Touriga Franca

Touriga Franca is one of the key red grapes used in the production of Port, but is increasingly used for still wine both in the Douro valley and other regions of Portugal. It produces a very dark and inky style of wine and is naturally a reliably higher yielding variety than Touriga Nacional. These wines will typically be dense but elegant and have copious blackberry and floral notes with plush, velvety tannins.
