The Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva is produced exclusively from grapes grown on the Tenuta Tignanello estate, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico region between the Greve and Pesa river valleys. This estate is also home to the iconic Tignanello wine, known for pioneering the Super Tuscan movement.
Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva, Vineyard and Winemaking
After destemming, the grapes were meticulously hand-sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation occurred in stainless steel vats, followed by 9–10 days of post-fermentation maceration on the skins. Malolactic fermentation took place in French barriques, after which the wine matured for twelve months in a mix of French and Hungarian oak. Only the finest barrels were chosen for the final blend before bottling.
