Masi is one of if not the most famous historical wine producer in Valpolicella.
Masi Campolongo Amarone di Torbe is a great example of this wintery red wine. This is one of five wines in a unique collection: Cantina Privata Boscaini. These wines are of great vintages of Amarone, the best cru selections in limited quantities.
“You want to know what real luxury is? It’s authentic products made from raw materials selected with care and encapsulating the experience and the know-how that comes from a long tradition. Their quality lies in their essence and has no need of exhibition.
This is the spirit of the Cantina Privata Boscaini.”
Raffaele Boscaini, seventh generation
The vines are grown on the slopes with the most favourable South-West exposure. Soils are just rich enough with minerals and nutrients to help produce healthy grapes. The resulting wine is full-bodied with amazing balance and flavour intensity. Ripe sweet cherry, almonds, baking spices, and rich plums on the palate, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish.
Food pairing suggestions: Braised horse with chestnuts.
