Southerlands Creek Pinot Noir, Clone MV6, sourced from the Moorabool Valley within the Geelong region, specifically from the Strathmore Vineyard, nestled along Muhlebach Road in Sutherlands Creek, where vines have flourished since their planting in 1998.
The aroma presents an enticing blend of cinnamon, earthy warmth, forest undertones, sweet spices, and hints of violet—reminiscent of the classic Burgundian style, reflecting Ben’s experience at Domaine Dujac. The tannins are exceptionally fine, almost ethereal, offering remarkable clarity and allowing the wine’s sweet fruit and refreshing notes to shine through without reservation. The fruit profile is both spiced and exotic, with a subtle hint of black pepper adding a touch of balance to its sweetness. Harmonious and exquisite perfectly encapsulate its essence. The finish is prolonged and smooth, leaving a lasting impression of seamless elegance.
Food pairing suggestion: Mushroom risotto.
