Peter Lehmann Sparkling Shiraz Production
Peter Lehmann Sparkling Shiraz is made primarily from Shiraz grapes, which thrive in the warm climate of the Barossa Valley. The base wine is typically matured in oak barrels before undergoing secondary fermentation to create the sparkling effect. This process can involve the traditional method (méthode champenoise) or other methods to introduce carbonation. Some sparkling Shiraz wines, including those from Peter Lehmann, may have a dosage added to balance the acidity and sweetness, enhancing the wine’s overall profile.
Best served chilled at around 8-10°C (46-50°F), this versatile wine pairs well with a range of dishes including barbecue, roasted meats, game, and chocolate-based desserts. It’s also a popular choice for festive occasions and celebrations.
