Established in 1986, the Galician winery Martín Códax is relatively new to the Spanish wine market. Despite its recent arrival, the brand has quickly gained global recognition for showcasing the unique Albariño grape varietal in its premium wines. Located in the picturesque fishing village of Cambados, the Martín Códax winery is nestled in the tranquil Salnés Valley, in the northwest region of Pontevedra.
Since its founding, Bodegas Martín Códax has expanded and evolved, consistently supporting its people, land, and culture. Today, that culture is celebrated in more than 50 countries worldwide.
What began as a dream and the collective efforts of a group of winegrowers has now become a reality. This success has turned Bodegas Martín Códax into a symbol of Galician wines, both within and beyond our borders.
Mara Martín Godello, named after the vineyard from which it originates, is crafted exclusively from the Godello grape, renowned for producing crisp, mineral-driven wines with citrus and floral notes. The wine has a pale yellow hue and offers aromas of green apple, pear, and lemon zest. On the palate, it is fresh and vibrant, with juicy fruit flavours balanced by lively acidity and a long, clean finish.
Food pairing suggestion: Grilled chicken in citrus-herb marinade.
