Yalumba is owned by the Hill-Smith family and has been family-owned since it was founded in 1843. They are true pioneers of Barossa, but also are known for their innovation, which has led them to discovering new regions, as well as pioneering new winemaking techniques, which is echoed in the wines today being more poised and elegant than the Barossa wines of yesteryear. They are so passionate about creating the best wine, they have their own cooperage on site so they can make all their own barrels to maintain the utmost quality, and are the only estate in Australia to go to such lengths to ensure they have the best quality barrels in which to age their wines.
This Viognier is fresh, with good balanced acidity and fruit.
